The Window & Door Safety and Servicing Company is a Worcester- and Malvern-based, family-run business dedicated to adapting and enhancing your current windows and doors with high-security measures, or replacing them with the highest-quality security doors on the market — all at the most affordable prices you’ll find. Safety Glass and Laminated Safety Glass. - Toughened safety glass is hard to bread making it a safer more secure glazing option. Laminated Glass offers a interlayer which holds the glass together, not only does this make it stronger and harder to penetrate but it will also hold its structure and the glass together even the glass becomes damaged or broken!

Cable Restrictors- This plastic coated metal cable attaches to the frame and the opening sash to stop it fully opening. This can be locked with a key and despite being designed to stop children getting out, it also acts as a secondary barrier for people trying to get in if your window becomes compromised!

Replacing the Glass / Glazing
​
​Replacing glass and re glazing can be done for several reasons: safety, thermal efficiency, and aesthetics.

Safety
​
If you have timber windows, you probably don’t have any safety glass.
If you have uPVC windows and doors, you most likely only have safety glass in the door.
You can have safety glass fitted in any window or door in your home, and it can also be laminated for an extra layer of protection.

Thermal Efficiency
​
Glazing and Glass is rated on an energy efficiency scale ranging from G (worst) to A** (best).
-
G-rated glass has a U-value of over 2.7 — essentially old single-glazed units.
-
B-rated glass (the UK minimum standard) has a U-value between 1.4 and 1.6 and is commonly found in many double-glazed windows.
-
A**-rated glass offers the best energy efficiency, with a U-value below 0.9 — incredible performance.
As a minimum, we work with A*-rated glass.

Servicing- Adjustment to Existing Windows and doors
At times, you may find that a door or window does not close or lock as it should. It might have a visible gap around the edge or make contact with the bottom or side of the frame.
This does not necessarily indicate that the door or window has reached the end of its service life, nor does it always mean that components require replacement.
